Terms & Conditions
Rules governing purchases, withdrawal, returns and complaints in the Life Peptides online store.
2. Scope and consumers
These Terms govern purchases through the Life Peptides online store. A consumer is a natural person acting outside their trade, business or profession. These Terms do not restrict mandatory consumer rights under applicable law. The website and customer account are intended for persons aged 18 or over.
3. Research products and legal status
Products identified as research materials are offered for laboratory, analytical and research purposes as described for each item. A “research only”, “peptide” or similar label does not by itself remove statutory consumer rights, including the right of withdrawal where no specific statutory exception applies or rights relating to defective goods.
4. Order and contract formation
Before final confirmation, the buyer checks the products, quantities, price, delivery, payment method and contact details. The order is created only after the final order confirmation carrying an obligation to pay is activated. The seller then sends an order confirmation by e-mail. If the seller cannot fulfil an order for legal, safety or objective reasons, the order may be refused or cancelled and any money received will be returned without undue delay.
5. Price, currency and payment
The final product and shipping price is displayed before the order is confirmed. Orders may be denominated in CZK, EUR or PLN depending on destination and selected currency. For bank transfer, the buyer must use the payment details assigned to the order. For CZK payments the variable symbol is the primary identifier together with the order number in the reference; for EUR/SEPA payments the IBAN, amount and order reference must be checked; PLN orders use separate PLN bank-transfer details and are not SEPA payments.
6. Shipping, delivery and pre-orders
Available carriers, delivery method and shipping price are shown at checkout. Dispatch time depends mainly on stock availability and receipt of payment; transit time depends on the carrier and destination. Pre-orders are dispatched once available. Risk of loss in consumer sales passes in accordance with applicable law, generally when the goods are received by the consumer or a person designated by them.
7. Consumer right to withdraw within 14 days
For a distance contract, a consumer generally has 14 days from receipt of the goods to withdraw without giving a reason, unless a statutory exception applies. It is sufficient to send the withdrawal before the deadline expires. Withdrawal may be made by any unequivocal statement, by e-mail or through the online withdrawal function available on this website. For contracts concluded through the Slovak online interface after 18 June 2026, the online function reflects Section 20a of Act No. 108/2024 Z. z. as effective from 19 June 2026. Withdrawal may also be made by another unequivocal statement or by e-mail. Withdraw from the contract here.
8. Exceptions – sealed, opened and reconstituted products
The fact that a product contains a peptide or is labelled as research material is not, by itself, a statutory reason to exclude withdrawal. A specific item may, however, fall within the exception for goods supplied in sealed protective packaging that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons once the seal has been broken (Czech Civil Code Section 1837(g); Slovak Act No. 108/2024 Section 19(1)(e)). A product that has been reconstituted, mixed with BAC/AA water or another medium, or otherwise irreversibly mixed with other goods may also, depending on the circumstances, fall within the statutory exception for irreversible/inseparable mixing (Czech Section 1837(e); Slovak Section 19(1)(f)). Each case is assessed according to the actual condition of the goods and the statutory requirements. Merely labelling an item as a peptide, opening outer shipping packaging, or the fact that the seller can no longer resell it does not by itself create a statutory exception; the specific legal conditions must be met. The health/hygiene exception generally does not apply where the qualifying protective seal remains intact.
9. Return of goods and refunds
Where withdrawal is effective, the consumer must send or hand back the goods no later than 14 days after withdrawal unless otherwise agreed. Direct return costs are borne by the consumer unless applicable law or an agreement provides otherwise. The seller will refund payments received, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery offered, no later than 14 days after withdrawal; for a sales contract the seller may withhold reimbursement until the goods are received or evidence of return is provided, whichever occurs first. The consumer is liable only for diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and characteristics of the goods.
10. Defective goods rights – separate from withdrawal
The 14-day withdrawal right is separate from rights relating to defective goods. The seller is liable for defects to the extent required by applicable law, and statutory defect rights cannot be excluded by labelling the product as research material. In Czech consumer sales, a defect existing at delivery and manifesting within two years may be claimed; where a defect manifests within the first year it is presumed to have existed at delivery unless proven otherwise. Slovak consumers retain mandatory rights under the Slovak Civil Code, including Sections 619 et seq., where applicable.
11. Complaints and damaged parcels
A complaint may be submitted using the contact e-mail or address in Section 1. Include the order number, a description of the defect and appropriate supporting information. Photographs are recommended particularly for transit damage but are not automatically a condition for a valid statutory claim. The seller will provide confirmation and handle the complaint within the period required by applicable law.
12. Customer account, LP VIP and promotions
A customer account is voluntary. LP VIP, permanent prices, discount codes and promotions are governed by the rules shown for the relevant benefit. Such rules cannot restrict statutory consumer rights. The seller may change or end a promotional programme for future purchases, without affecting rights already arising from a confirmed order.
13. Personal data
Personal data processing is governed by the separate Privacy Policy. Data relating to withdrawals, returns and complaints is processed primarily to fulfil contractual and legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Privacy Policy.
14. Alternative dispute resolution
If a consumer dispute cannot be resolved directly, the consumer may use the competent alternative dispute resolution body. For a seller established in Czechia, the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (ČOI), Central Inspectorate – ADR Department, Gorazdova 1969/24, 120 00 Prague 2, is generally competent for ordinary consumer sales disputes. Consumers in another EU country may also seek cross-border consumer assistance available in their state. The former EU ODR platform is no longer operated and is therefore not linked by this store.
15. Applicable law and cross-border consumers
The contract is governed by the law of the seller’s state unless mandatory rules and conflict-of-law provisions provide otherwise. A choice of law does not deprive a consumer of protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of their habitual residence where that protection applies under EU law.
16. Legal framework
These Terms are based principally on EU consumer legislation, the Czech Civil Code No. 89/2012 and Consumer Protection Act No. 634/1992. For consumers in Slovakia, mandatory provisions of Act No. 108/2024 on Consumer Protection and the Slovak Civil Code No. 40/1964 are also taken into account where applicable to the contract.
17. Effective date and amendments
These Terms are effective from 6 September 2026. The version made available to the customer when the contract is concluded applies to that order. Later amendments do not alter rights and obligations already arising from an earlier contract.
